Responsibilities:

• Conducting interactive classroom lectures and hands-on training sessions for aspiring nurse assistants.

• Developing and delivering comprehensive lesson plans and curriculum aligned with state requirements and industry standards.

• Providing guidance and mentorship to students, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.

• Assessing and evaluating student performance through exams, assignments, and practical demonstrations.

• Identifying individual student needs and implementing appropriate instructional strategies to ensure student success.

• Collaborating with the program director and fellow instructors to continuously enhance the program’s quality and effectiveness.

• Staying updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices to deliver the most relevant and current education to students.

Requirements:

• Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.

• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a nurse, preferably in a long-term care or acute care setting.

• Prior experience in teaching or training in a healthcare setting is highly desirable.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and motivate students.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to effectively manage curriculum, assessments, and student records.

• Proficiency in utilizing educational technology and learning management systems.
